Any of ye out there in chop-shop land fans of Harry Potter?
Just wondering as I want to go on a complete rant.
I recently finished book 7 and was absolutely ragging. The book was good and I really enjoyed it. What annoys me is that the best character, in my opinion, who plays a key role is totally left out of the epilogue at the end. My Fiancee was over the moon when Neville is mentioned and we are told he is now a professor in Hogwarts. However I was in a total huff as Luna had been totally left out as if she never existed.
She played a major part in the book and then is left out.
Rant over.
All in all it was a good book. A bit predictable but good all the same. Neville should have been the hero though and not Harry. Much more likable character.
OK so the ranting is not over as I am about to rip into the other books.
HBP: too long for all that it does. All that happens in it is that Harry and Ginny get together as do Hermione and Ron. Also they destroy 1 horcrux and kill Dumbledore. That is it.
OOTP: Good book. little long but very informative so very little could get taken out. Though Harry is a right pain in the back side in it.
GOF: What happens in this book? Tom Riddle comes back and another Wandmaker is introduced. That is it. Combine this book with Prisoner and it would be much better.
POA: best book in the series. Qwidich is excellent (I prefer it to the qwidich in GOF as you are more emotionally invested in the characters that are playing). Dark story. And Sirius rules. He small countries.
COS: more characters introduced and a Horcrux is destroyed. fortunately, unlike HBP, it is short.
PS (SS in America): What can I say it was a short children's tale at this stage. Read it twice and not picked it up since.
Any opinions on the books. I will entertain arguments against what I am saying (even though I am always right ).
