I do not believe there can be for there are 2 ways to be wrong. Socialy and religiously.
Yes Religion mentions Sin so we know it is a religious thing. But is it anywhere else.
Sin esential is doing something that is wrong and outside of religion there is only socialy that you can do wrong
Socialy you deal with the law and in the law there is no mention of Sin. So there fore there is no sin without religion.

Lets explore the meaning of the WORD sin.
In archery to "sin" is to hit off target. Apollo a Greek Deity (God of the sun), whom according to the myths was an archer, had a great deal of influence when it came to the use of this word in a religious sense. Many of Apollo's religious rights and even the way his followers set up temple are to this day mimic ed by Christianity.
Another word that's interesting to trace back is "apologies". This word is a direct derivative of the name "Apollo". This is due to the myths that Apollo was ALWAYS making mistakes and asking for his father's (Zeus) forgiveness. This resulted in Zeus telling Apollo that he had "sinned". In other words, missed the target, missed the point of discipline, misunderstood the reason's why his actions where wrong.
Judaism is not the only religion that had an influence over modern day religions but very few trace customs far back enough to uncover details like the above.
In modern day to "sin" is a very religious thing. If you're not religious then you make mistakes. This is a normal and an important function in life.
One of two things can happen, you either accept that you're a human being and understand that you are going to make mistakes, and then hopefully learn from those mistakes. Or you can hold onto the mistake and try to justify it with excuses, never learn a thing from it, and continue to make the mistake over and over again. (very much like Apollo did)
To tell somebody that they have "sinned" is to tell them they can't learn from their mistakes. It's a religiously mild way of calling somebody ignorant (without the ability to learn).
