I believe it is a very good idea as you get to know the person before you marry them.
If you marry some one and only then find out you cant cope with their habits you are in trouble. Well that is the case here in a country that only recently got divorce and it is still frowned upon by most people.

Yeah, this can be a society issue. My parents didn't believe I should have lived with my husband before marriage. But here we are 10 years married and still strong. That's 5 years longer then my own parents. 8 years longer then my sister who didn't live with her X husband. So yeah I do have a little bragging right here lol

I don't know the ins and outs of your family but had they lived together they might not have gotten married as they would have realized they were incompatible.
Saying that there is an argument for not living together before marriage. You. Had your parents realized they were incompatible you might never have existed.
Same here. though I don't know if my parents lived together before they were married. bit of a sore subject. not for them but for me.

Oh I would have existed, my parents adopted me...
See, my parents where both married before I even came around, both of them got divorced, and then remarried. There's a half brother from the first marriage but he's adopted too. Shortly after they remarried they adopted both my sister and I.
Then, they both died, pretty much at the same time one after the other due to complications with diabetes and cancer.
There might be another debate in this about eating right. If there was ever a classic case of a poor diet causing diabetes , it would be my own mother.

Sorry to hear about your parents.
I belive that it is our experiances that make us what we are. You may have existed but would you be the same person? Would you be mad into RMXP? I only use that as an example as I don't know enough about you to use something that you would consider an integral part of yourself.

Don't know... but alive is still alive you know? We all change a little bit everyday no matter how much we think we stay the same. As far as RPG maker XP...I think as soon as it hit the market, yep I would have been crazy for it. I'm a story teller after all, lots on my mind, lots to say. You know that from this forum Hope everything is going well with you.

Stuff is getting sorted with me.
The thing is if you had one wrong experience you might not have written for ages.
We had a publisher talk to our class in 5th class. He basically rubbished my writing style. I did not write for years after that. his argument was he was a well published author and I was not so he was right about writing styles.
Who knows how you might have responded to that particular situation or similar.
Thing is none of us can say what would have happened if...
We can only look to the future and act to get the best results.

*wishes there was a simile with clapping hands* very well said! I do have to say there's been a few things that changed my life a little bit, matter of fact one of those things had to do with school, college. My teacher would repeatedly tell me my artwork was bad, and it wasn't refined enough. Now I know for a fact, if you can get past the typos and what not, you are a great writer. There's no doubt in my mind. And well my artwork isn't superior but it is something that I like to do and it's brought me a great deal of happiness in spite of life issues. People would tell me I was going no where real fast like with my interest in art. It hasn't taken me to the top no, but it's kept me sane
